Last updated: May 15, 2026
Summary: Finnex does not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The only local storage it uses is to save your financial data on your own device.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to remember information about your visit. They can be first-party (from the site you visit) or third-party (from other companies).
2. Cookies Finnex does NOT use
Finnex does not use any type of cookie for:
- Tracking your behavior within the app
- Displaying personalized advertising
- Usage analytics (Google Analytics or similar)
- Social networks or tracking pixels
- Identifying you on external servers
3. Local storage (localStorage)
Finnex uses the browser's local storage (localStorage) as a technical mechanism to save your financial data. This is different from cookies:
- Data remains only on your device
- It is not transmitted to any server
- It has no automatic expiration date
- It is only accessible from your browser on your device
| Type | Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| localStorage | finnex_data | Store your transactions, goals and settings | Until you delete the data |
4. External sources
The Finnex website loads the Nunito typeface from Google Fonts. This request may generate a connection with Google's servers, which could involve logging your IP address according to Google's privacy policy. We have no control over such processing.
5. How to delete local storage
If you want to delete all Finnex data from your device, you can do so from two places:
- Inside the app: Settings → Data → Delete all
- From your browser: Settings → Privacy → Clear site data
6. Changes to this policy
