Summary: Finnex does not collect or store your financial information — that lives only on your device. We use Google Analytics to understand general site usage (visits, pages), but we never access your transactions, goals or debts.

1. Who we are

Finnex is a progressive web application (PWA) for personal finance management. This privacy policy describes how we treat — or more precisely, how we do not treat — your personal information.

2. Data Finnex does NOT collect

Finnex does not collect, transmit or store on external servers any type of personal information, including:

Name, email address or contact details
Financial information (transactions, amounts, categories)
Location data
Device identifiers

3. Local storage

All information you enter in Finnex — transactions, goals, debts, settings — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This information:

Never leaves your device
Is not synced with any server
Is not accessible by third parties
Only you can view, export or delete it

4. Data export

Finnex allows you to export your data in CSV or JSON format. These files are generated locally on your device. Finnex has no access to any file you export.

5. Cookies and analytics

Finnex uses Google Analytics to measure visits and general site usage, through cookies that do not identify your name or financial information. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. For more information, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Third-party services

The Finnex website uses Google Fonts to load the Nunito typeface and Google Analytics for site usage statistics. Both may log your IP address on Google's servers according to their own privacy policy. The app also periodically checks for news to show in a banner, by querying a public Google Sheets spreadsheet that does not receive any data about you. We do not use any other third-party services.

7. Minors

Finnex is not directed at children under 13. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with the corresponding update date.
