Terms of Service

Summary: Finnex has a free plan that's open to use, and an optional paid plan (Finnex Business) with sync, business mode, reminders, and AI-powered expense entry. Your data is yours. Use it responsibly and within the limits described here.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Finnex, you accept these terms of service. If you disagree with any of them, please do not use the app.

2. Description of service

Finnex is a progressive web app (PWA) for personal finance management. It allows you to record income and expenses, create savings goals, track debts, and view financial reports. The free plan requires no account and is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability.

3. Finnex Business (paid plan)

Finnex Business is an optional monthly subscription that adds automatic cloud backup, cross-device sync, business mode, and AI-powered voice/text expense entry. By subscribing:

You sign in with your Google account, required to identify your subscription
Billing is processed through Mercado Pago; Finnex does not store your card details
The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it
You can cancel at any time from your Mercado Pago account or by writing to hola@finnex.site; you keep access to paid features until the end of the period already paid for
Payments already made are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law

If you cancel or a payment fails to go through, your account reverts to the free plan — we never delete your data over this, it simply stops syncing until you reactivate the subscription.

4. AI-powered expense entry

The feature that interprets text or voice to pre-fill a transaction uses a third-party AI model (Gemini, by Google) and can make mistakes: picking the wrong category, misreading an amount or a date. That's why the result is always shown for your review before saving — no transaction is ever saved automatically without your confirmation. It's up to you to decide whether the suggested data is correct.

5. Permitted use

Finnex is designed for personal use (and, with Business, for managing your own side business or freelance work). By using it, you agree to:

Use it only for legal and personal purposes
Not attempt to access, modify or maliciously interfere with the app's source code
Not use the app for fraudulent or illegal activities

6. Your data and your responsibility

On the free plan, all information you enter in Finnex is stored locally on your device; on Finnex Business, a backup is also stored in the cloud (see our Privacy Policy for details). You are solely responsible for your data. We recommend:

Backing up your data by exporting it periodically
Not sharing your unlocked device with third parties if you have sensitive data in Finnex

Finnex is not responsible for data loss due to browser clearing, device change, or system failures — especially on the free plan, where no copy exists outside your device.

7. Accuracy of financial information

Finnex is a support tool for personal money management. Projections, calculations, and reports generated by the app are estimates based on the data you enter (by hand or via AI). They do not constitute professional financial, accounting, or tax advice.

8. Intellectual property

The code, design, name, and logo of Finnex are the property of their creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express authorization.

9. Modifications and availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Finnex — including Finnex Business features — at any time, with or without prior notice. If we were to permanently discontinue a paid feature, we'll notify active subscribers with reasonable advance notice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finnex and its creators shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the app, including failures or interruptions of the third-party providers we depend on (Netlify, Supabase, Mercado Pago, Google).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are published implies acceptance of the new terms.
